This documentary looks back at the incredible escape of Patrick Haemers, a Belgian robber who became public enemy number one in the 1980s. In August 1987, Haemers managed to escape from prison during a transfer. Thus began an international hunt. The man was tracked down by all the country’s police forces. Haemers moved to South America with his wife and son, with false passports. He regularly returned to Belgium to commit robberies.
